Ghosting friends? Maybe it’s time to say no

Hey Reader,

Sometimes a week can fly by.
Every minute jammed into the next.
On the tricky days, they’re smashed uncomfortably on top of each other.

Our brains ache.
Our eyes feel odd—dry, different.
We get short with our friends. No, scratch that—we ghost our friends.
And worse, we lose patience with our families.

I’ve been drifting into that space.
It’s semi-forced (I’m taking five days for a mini break in Tokyo), but I’m also a victim of my own productivity.

I’ve stripped and streamlined so much that I can get loads done.
It looks good in the plan but lacks space.

Space to relax.
Talk with friends (it clears the head).
Have fun and games with family (and say sod off to the planned workout).

So, as I say SOD off to a few things that can wait until I’m back in the UK, I give you a gift.

The gift to say “Hell No” and “Sod off.”

Next time you have to pick between friends, family, your own time, or squeezing in a little more work—
Take the gift.
Say NO.
This moment is for the people in your life.

See you next week,

M

p.s. I've snuck this thought out thanks to a 3 hour delay to my 13 hour flight to Toyko.
